Default Wintersday Eye of North Grinding

Noticed that there is an almost constant stream of people completing a quest near Lieutenant Thackeray in Eye of the North, any ideas what combo of things is being done?

its Snowball Dominance.

A ranger and a necromancer (optimaly) team up to complete the quest in around 2 minutes.

the necro runs into the opposing mob and right when they become foes uses Holiday Blues and ICe fort

all the foes waste their iceforts here, and charge in to use Snow Down Your Shirt (or whatever it is, the hex).

The necro dies, everybody mobs up, and the ranger uses Flurry of Ice for big spammable damage.

it takes about 2 minutes for 5 Frosty Tonics, 10 Candy Cane Shards, and 500 Vanguard Rep.

Or you can use a necro hero to sacrifice for the Holiday Blues and then start to help your team pick off the foes. It can be a little slow depending on what class you're playing, though.

yeah, any team, even with a hero, can complete it in around 2 minutes if you know what you're doing. n+r is much faster.

Personally i do this using my Rt and a ranger hero... a well placed "Jack Frost" makes the opponent waste their ice fort. After that it is just a matter a clearing (i approach from the left). Average time is also 2 minutes.

Yeah, snowball Dom. I rushed me a ranger just for that quest, and my friend is the necro, or I just use olias, it's just more troublesome with olias because that idiot can't stand still inside his fort and dies in a heartbeat. But it's doable.

It is possible with 2 necro's also. 1 Necro will stand tank, use ice fort, HB and then runs back. Other necro runs in and use HB when other HB has fniished, then 1 necro dies and the other finishes it off.

The Necro/Ranger run is easier but a bit slower. Necro/Necro is a few seconds faster imo.

And this run is awesome btw ^^ Ive maxed my vanguard title from 5k points to 160k points in a few days

It goes very fast with an necro hero, if you know how to micro it. I play a sin myself, not the best class for the quest. But runs take 1-3 minutes.

i would recommend using a ranger or an ele+ a necro.

its a really simple thing to do, takes less then 2 mins, and u can max your party point title in 1,000 runs(500 if you run dual accounts) or even sooner depending on if you use the 10(or 20) candy cane shards on presents for the random ale/sweet/party points. Also, its probably the easiest way to max the hardest rep title in EoTN(vanguard fyi), you can get 500 rep per run and the runs last 2mins( my quickest was 20 secs w/ my ele). So, give it a shot its a blast and you can grind it to no end(also btw you get 1k per run if u run dual accounts).

^ I've done 32 seconds before. Most people with a Ranger (player)/Necro (hero) can do it in under a minute.

It's a great way to farm PPs.

If anyone is interested in how to do it, the quest's page on GWW has a [poorly worded] guide. Here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Snowb...arming_Methods

yea i agree, the gww page is really poorly worded this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3kZd...eature=related has the video exspalining how to do it(its ranger and anecro but it can be done w/ any profession i belive). if a video is worth a thousand words.. imagine how much words this covers .

What you have to do is make your hero use snowball after he uses fort and blues. He will have the crap interrupted out of him but he'll keep trying to use it, and will stay inside the fort. Then you just make him use snowcone once fort wears out. Works like 95% of the time. But sometimes they feel like being retarded and will move anyways.

Even if your necro hero is feeling suicidal and runs out of his fort and dies immediately, it's still stupidly easy.

Yeah it's true, but it's annoying, takes a bit longer to mop up imo. I'll try that interrupting trick later

This is also a very quick and easy way to level up any heroes - just add them before accepting the reward then kick them before starting the next run. 5000xp a pop.
